Italian Society of Soil Science (SISS)
The Italian Society of Soil Science (SISS) was founded in Florence on February 18th, 1952. It is an active member of the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) and of the European Confederation of Soil Science Societies (ECSSS). The society works to advance soil science and its applications to the environment and agriculture, and human health, and to foster relationships and collaboration among its followers. Its website and Facebook group provide more information for members and those interested in soil science.
