Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
At present, multiple, often-interconnected factors (such as new technologies, changes in regulations, etc.) are having a specific impact on the sports industry. On the one hand, this can allow for the deployment of new strategies to improve the performance of a sporting organization across different aspects. On the other hand, it can give rise to various challenges that need to be properly managed. Likewise, in the sports industry, one can find non-profit organizations (e.g., those whose aim is to promote health and social integreation through collective sporting participation, amongst other goals), as well as professional sports organizations (those aiming to generate monetary profits through sports shows). This Special Issue aims to shed light on various trends such as governance, performance, risk and sustainability in the sporting industry, as relating to the aforementioned trends.
