Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The work includes interesting information about the diversity of the cave studied, and it is important to publish these data. Some of the information comes from a bibliographic compilation, but a sampling has also been carried out. The latter is not well described, at all, and would provide relevant information. In addition, in the current state of the MS it is not easy to know what information comes from.

The methods part should collect this information, and if it is not done, the objective of the work would not be fulfilled, it would not do justice to the title.

There is a small mention to Ecology, to the relationship between some of the taxa included. Although it is a small part, it is interesting and could be reflected in a subsection of Ecology. But it would be even more interesting to "recover" other mentions scattered throughout the paper related to Ecology (origin of organic matter, relationship of fauna with that of other caves or nearby regions).

Other –relatively abundant– comments have been included in the attached annotated PDF, which I hope will help improve the clarity of the paper.

A nice review of one of the most interesting revived caves in the Balkan Karst. A detailed and at the same time inspiring overview of the history and known data about the cave biota. Although the Trogloxene fauna is mentioned, there is very little mention in the Discussion of the reference to this group. Troxloxene fana is not included in Table 1, which I do not dispute, but a broader branch in Discission could be added.

I read the manuscript. It falls within the scope of this special issue and I have no major comments. If word-count permits, authors should consider to include a section on waste-water on Bloke and related issue, whether this water can affect Križna jama. Several minor comments and suggestions are included in the attached pdf.

Interesting paper. Be careful with some word-mistakes (douring instead during; amnog instead among). Congratulations...
