New corrosion inhibitors based on Perylene Unit in Epoxy-Ester Resin coatings
The authors developed new corrosion inhibitors based on Perylene dianhydride condensation with long chain aliphatic chain such as substituted oleyl amine. The investigation is quite impressive for the application of corrosion inhibition and mainly, the authors have to provide some important analysis data such as 1H and 13C NMR including FT-R and Mass spectroscopy. Without structure determination of the compounds I to IV, no researcher will go for the next application step. I recommend authors to provide the above analysis data if they collected. Several typos have appeared in the whole manuscript, I hope they need to rectify thoroughly. The scientific findings in this manuscript are well judges and it is suitable for the publication in Coatings, however, it will be deeply rectified the typos. The manuscript has potentiality to go for publication in Coatings. As far as I am concerned, the authors should address the following points before publication.
Q1. Authors should provide the compounds 1-IV 1H and 13C NMR including FT-R and Mass spectroscopy.
Q2. Fig 6. EDX results needs to provide the EDX elemental intercity spectra.
Q3. Table 12. The PVC % against E corrosion (mV) is why the value are irregular against to 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5 % PVC? And other parameters too, need proper explanation.
Q4. Table 13 also have followed similar trend, why
Authors should carefully rectify the typo errors.

Reviewer 2 Report
The manuscript related to “New Corrosion Inhibitors Based on Perylene Unit in Epoxy-Ester Resin Coatings” has been reviewed. The manuscript data is organized well. I appreciate the authors' idea of this research that is fruitful for academia as well as industry. However, some discussions seem not adequate for well understanding to consider for publication it should make some necessary changes to improve the quality of the manuscript.
Major suggestions
The background of this work is not enough. Can the author add some more details about organic anti-corrosion compounds and organic pigments? Also, it is better to structure lines 56 and 68 put in the materials section.
The quality of the Figures is poor it is not readable such as in Fig. and 4, Fig 5 (magnification). As mentioned by the authors this work was partly published as Pant however this manuscript is open access to attract audiences to present readable Figures.
Figure.6 EDX results list in the table and Why in Fig.6 (B) has some crack can author explain this?
I could not find any comparison of time influence on anticorrosion properties of the perylene (high anticorrosion strength resistance) in conclusion.
Minor suggestions
It is better if the authors can merge/arrange Figures (7,8,9) into one Figure.
Improve the quality of Figures (10,11).
Line 321 mentioned five compounds synthesis however in Abstract 4 compounds??
Check the sentences and lines grammar 94, 188- 190, 518, and 519.
