Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The scope of this Special Issue is to collect contributions about modern radiation oncology in the specific field of prostate cancer treatments. Papers regarding the main clinical, biological, and technical issues will be accepted. Among those of interest: populations treated and their characteristics; efficacy and toxicity of the different treatment modalities and techniques; radiation/drug combinations; the metastatic patient and the role of radiotherapy; advances in precision radiotherapy; the biological rationale for extreme hypofractionation and its combinations with the new drugs; main indications to external beam radiotherapy and comparisons with other local treatments such as brachytherapy and surgery. However, these topics should not be intended as the only ones that will be considered for inclusion in this Special Issue regarding the whole field of prostate cancer radiotherapy.
