Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Supply chain management is the base of any industry, and taking care of the environment during business is a social responsibility of any industry nowadays. As job creation is a primary issue for an industry, the entire supply chain system moves towards sustainability. The major goal of sustainable supply chain management is to make profit in terms of clean management. Reuse of products, recycling, remanufacturing, and waste management are socio-economic ways to contribute to environment protection. Remanufacturing boosts waste management by promoting the reuse of materials and products and decreasing the use of raw materials, the production cost, and finally landfill areas. The whole system needs flexibility regarding the production system, as manufacturers need to establish which products will be made from raw materials and which products will be remanufactured, according to the market demand.
The aim of the Special Issue entitled “Advanced production system under sustainable supply chain management” is to collect papers discussing the reduction of waste by using clean management with the help of advanced production systems under a sustainable supply chain management.
