Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The industry is characterized by multilateral supply–production ties with other branches of the economy. As a result of the economic activity in the industry, spatial management and the social and environmental dimensions of sustainability are affected. Therefore, multilateral couplings with economic and social development can be observed as a result of the strong bonds between economic activity and scientific development. These developments can improve human conditions, although they can also degrade the natural environment. Industry activity is also impacting the social dimension. Hence, it is necessary to strive for sustainable development, where economic development is met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their environmental and social needs. In many cases, actions for sustainable development in business can bring new business opportunities and provide economic development without degrading the environmental and social dimensions. This study has the objective to present examples of effective implementation of sustainable development practices in the supply chain.
This Special Issue will collect and publish well-prepared research reports about recent advances. All kinds of articles are welcome, including original research papers, review articles, empirical studies, and case studies.
Authors are cordially invited to submit their papers until 30/12/2020.
